Your WellCard Membership provides you savings at over 410,000 physicians and over 45,000 ancillaries (lab, x-ray, imaging, durable medical equipment, home health care). You can benefit significantly on medical services by utilizing the contracted provider networks.

Participating providers include specialties such as weight loss, infertility, pediatricians, family doctors, allergists, dermatology and internal medicine. There is no limit to the number of times you can save when visiting participating providers.

Is this insurance?

No, this is not insurance. Discount plans provide discounted prices on a wide range of health care services and products when you utilize specific contracted providers. Discount cardholders must pay the reduced price for services at the time services are received. With WellCard Savings, you pay reduced rates for many out-of-pocket health care services you would otherwise purchase at full price.

How do I receive a discount?

Saving money on health care expenses is simple. First, you can find participating providers by using the "Locate a Provider" page on this web site or by calling the toll-free Locate a Provider phone number on the card. Members show their membership card at the time of service. Members are responsible for paying all fees directly to the provider.

Are dependents included on my plan?

Yes, your entire household can receive the discounts, even children living at college!

Can I use my membership when I travel away from home?

Yes, your discount plan can be used at any participating provider in the United States.

What Doctors can I go to?

You can find participating providers by visiting the "Locate a Provider" Web page or calling the toll-free "Locate a Provider" phone number on the card.

Can I see a provider that does not participate in the program and still receive a discount?

No. Discounts are only given by participating providers. You may nominate a provider to consider becoming a participating provider by clicking on the tab "Nominate a Provider" on this website.

How long does it take to contract a new provider?

When you refer a provider for participation in the network by selecting "Nominate a Provider” on this website, the provider contracting department will contact the provider with information on how to apply to participate in the program. Because we work directly with the PPO networks, we are able to process a provider’s signed contract within 7-10 business days. Providers must agree, however, to accept the discounted fees required by the program.

If my doctor refers me to a specialist who is not in the network, do I still get a discount?

No. You must use a participating provider. You may Nominate a Provider to participate.

Can I use this plan even if I already have insurance?

Yes. Here are some examples. Just go to a participating provider, show your membership card, pay the discounted fees at the time of service and ask for a copy of your bill. Then, file the claim with your insurance company to be reimbursed by them. This reduces your out-of-pocket expenses and stretches your dollar so you reach your maximums more slowly.

You may also use the discount plan for services not covered by your insurance plan. For example, many people have medical insurance, but do not have dental and vision coverage. Please remember that the discount plans are not insurance and may offer discounts on many services not included in traditional indemnity plans.

What if I have questions on my charges?

If you have questions after utilizing a contracted participating provider click on the "Contact" tab on this website or fax your inquiry to us at 1-800-538-0885. Our staff will investigate your inquiry, and you will be contacted regarding the findings.

What do I do if I have a complaint about a provider?

Please email us your name, member ID, date(s) of service, provider name, address and phone number to complaint@competitivehealth.com or fax us the information along with a copy of the bill to 1-800-538-0885.
